Want to turn your study materials into ready-to-learn flashcards in seconds? This short tutorial will show you how to generate flashcards automatically from any text using AI in the byHeart app - no manual typing required.
Step 1: Create collection
- Use the "+" button on the home screen to open the Create Collection screen.
- Choose a name for your collection.
- Choose Generate - in this tutorial, we’ll use AI features to generate flashcards.
Step 2: Setup collection
- Choose whether you're learning a language or another subject. For this tutorial, select No — if you want to generate language flashcards from a YouTube video, check out the English/Italian flashcards tutorial.
- Select Text as the source for generating flashcards.
- Select Input to copy and paste text directly into byHeart. You can also choose File to upload a document - supported formats include PDF, Word, TXT, Markdown, or HTML.
Step 3: Add text source
- Copy and paste the text you want to turn into flashcards into the text area.
Step 4: Generate flashcards
- Tap Confirm to start the generation process.
- You’ll be redirected to the home screen, where a placeholder for your new collection will appear.
- After a short while, the generation will complete, and you can open your new flashcard collection.
