Our story

It started with a problem. Janek, a developer who loves learning, decided to pick up a new language. He quickly realized that existing study tools lacked the flexibility and intelligence needed for efficient learning.
Standard flashcard apps felt rigid. Manual entry was a chore that ate into actual study time. He believed there had to be a better way. A way to turn your existing materials into study aids instantly.
So he started building byHeart. For over a year, he worked on the core technology, the AI that could transform any content into smart flashcards. But he knew something was missing. Great technology alone wasn't enough. It needed solid educational principles behind it.
That's when Matt came into the picture. Janek and Matt had known each other for over 20 years, and Matt had spent the last decade teaching languages around the world. He understood how students actually learn, what works and what doesn't. Together, they built what byHeart is today. A tool that combines smart technology with proven teaching methods.
